Depends on a lot of factors, more importantly when the dealers get them. I'd say Mid-July you shold be able to get your hands on one of them. You can't pinpoint an exact date because that's impossible. Technical difficulties arise, manufacturing delays come up, UPS delivers late, etc.

Patience grasshopper! Good things come to those who wait. Being the first "kid" on the block with the new players is not going to give you any more edge over a DJ with more skills. Also remember it's still all about the music... you could be playing a technically awesome set, but the crowd is bored out of their minds.

But Dave, being the first kid on the block to have them will give you an edge in that you will have more practice on the CDJ-1000's. If any DJ is serious about switching to the new DVT's, then starting out as early as possible and practicing with them will help any DJ.

I'm excited to get them, and I want to get started practicing in order to start on that learning curve that happens when you start something new.

BUT - I understand where you are coming from. Just having a set of 1000's isn't going to make you a better DJ than anyone else. Knowing how to use them is the key.
