Hey is there any way to make the platter spin easier on a mark one? I spun on and pair of new 800's the other night and they were really easy to spin compared to my older mk1.... Just wanna know if its something i can do or do i have to send it in.

Thanx

If you read DJ Pulse's review of the CDJ1000/CDJ800 I think he talks about the very light spin mechanism in the 800. If you watch the video (which is somewhere on these forums) Pulse says the 800 is almost too easy to spin. In other words, your CDJ1000 isn't jacked up, it's just a difference between the two models.

try this, but the platters on the 1000, MK2, and 800 are all differently set for touch...

I'm sure it's possible to modify your player, just like it's possible to raise a truck or lower a car, but the question is, are you willing and capable of doing it yourself? You risk damaging your unit.
