Do I have to have a picture I want to place in a post on a website? All I can find is a location to type in a URL.

It's easy - either click the "image" link (beside the font color boxes), and enter the URL there, or...Code:

I still do not have an answer to my question. I have a picture I want to place here. Do I have to have a website with said picture on the website?

In other words - I want to take a pic of my nifty widget with my digital camera, and place said digital picture into a post on this forum. How do I do this?

Thanks

I get it now ... haha... Yes, you need to have the image somewhere on the net.

For example, I've stolen this image from Yahoo's website:

The URL for it is http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/ww/m6v9.gif

Here's a question - I found a pic I want to have here, but it's on Pio's home site. There isn't any way, that I know of, to place the location's url here, seeing as how the location is Pio's flash site.

Go to their homepage, then click on events, then 2002, then august 2002, about the 8th pic or so is me! I want to take that pic and have it here as my avatar.

HELP!!

Pulse - If anyone can help - you can.

THANK YOU!!

You can't.

However, if you have your oown web space (most people do, check.), you can right mouse click "save as" and then upload to your web space.

Then just point the URL to that location on your web space.

Actually, the flash site in question is protected and the normal means to save or copy do not work. I have the picture they have posted so I do not need to pull it off their site. I was just curious if I could use the url of it's location and post it here, but the flash site does not have a url.

It's all kool though cause another user has offered to post my the pic on their website. Once they do this I can place that url where it needs to be, so it's all kool now.

Thank you.
