ANAHEIM – NAMM Room #211B – (January 18, 2007) Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., the leader in cutting edge professional DJ products, is creating an entirely new experience for attendees of the 2007 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) show with a unique presentation of its past and present DJ equipment. The “Pioneer Experience” will take show goers through Pioneer’s extensive history of products that have transformed the world of disc jockeying into what it has evolved into today.
“We’re out to show our retailers where we’ve been and where we are today with our DJ equipment line. Our display illustrates the progression of technology and serves as a solid reminder of our stake as an industry leader,” said Karl Detken, director of product planning for DJ products at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. “Our products will be on display for all to experience, and prove that anyone can bring out their inner DJ.” The 45’ x 30’ booth will interactively showcase the entire ProDJ line of CD and DVD turntables, mixers and speakers. A special section of the booth is dedicated to historical product milestones, which will pay homage to Pioneer’s long reputation in the music production industry. It will feature the first mixing amplifier (MA-62), the first CD turntable (CDJ-500G) and the first MP3 turntable (DMP-555). Sure to draw a crowd, an exclusive room at the booth has been transformed to replicate the look and energy of today’s hottest clubs. Throughout the event, special guest DJs will headline this floorshow hot spot. Top DJ personalities such as Sandra Collins, Vello Virkhaus, Chris Cox, Junior Sanchez, Dave Aude, Richard Vission and DJ Swamp will showcase the latest Pioneer has to offer while entertaining the masses. Product Highlights: DVJ-1000 - Pioneer’s DVJ-1000, the world’s first video turntable, combines the function, operability and layout of Pioneer’s CD turntable with the revolutionary visual performance capability and power of DVD. CDJ-1000MKIII – This high-end digital turntable puts more control into the hands of DJs with features that include jog feel adjustments, hot looping/re-looping, improved track and wave data display and MP3 compressed audio playback. DJM-800 - The 96KHz/24 bit mixer gives professional DJs the tools they need to expand their musical horizons, with capabilities for mixing records, remixing, producing and performing. The mixer features Auto Harmonic Tuning that detects the key of song and automatically corrects it to the closest true key. S-FL1 – These flat panel speakers are designed for use at parties or events that require great sound quality in a compact size. The slim-design speaker uses NXT™ SurfaceSound,™ which is based on Distributed Mode Loudspeaker technology. Pioneer offers a complete line of Pro DJ Equipment through its Pro Audio Group.
