Hi everyone, i'm new to this forum and i'm looking for a bit of advice.
I currently have 2 x CDJ 400's and a DJM 400 and at the moment i'm using pen drives with a selection of music on them. However i would like to use my CDJ 400's as midi controllers so i can access all of the music on my laptop if i needed to. I am looking for a cheaper alternative to buying either Traktor Scratch or Serato etc so i am looking to either purchase Pioneer DJS or Traktor 3. Can anyone give me any advice as to which is the better out of the two. Are there any pro's and con's of both software? I have downloaded the demo version of traktor and i have tried using it with my cdj's and it seems quite good? However i would like to know if i would be better off with DJS, perhaps DJS is easier to use with the CDJ 400 as they are both pioneer products? Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated, cheers. Paul P.S. sorry if i have posted this in the wrong topic |

Download the free 30 day trial of DJS and go from there. The players will control DJS in native mode so you don't have to map out the 400 in midi. I'm sure Traktor has a demo you could use as well, but your right the native mode for 2 Pioneer products usually means a better fit; with the 400 and DJS it's true.
