sigmatel high definition - on board sound (will be using 2 cdj400 when they arrive)

hey i have a problem trying to run this program on vista home premium, the following error appears everytime i try to run the software

hey pulse,

i have tried reinstalling the software three times now, also uninstalled my anti virus, then reinstalled djs afterwards,

still no joy, i am getting the same error as above.

- 4 mp3s in DJS

- soundcard(s), driver configuration (within DJS - ASIO / DirectX) - see below as this is the problem

- external mixer

- I've connected 2 CDJ400s via USB to my laptop and running DJS. Laptop has ****ty 1 line out soundcard so i can't use that, so i have the output set to each of the CDJs. When i have it set under ASIO the tracks skip/stutter slightly every now and again. When i have them set under DirectX they play fine, but there seems to be a tiny delay when pressing the CDJ buttons (mainly play).

Any ideas? Should i be using ASIO if i can? Any ways to get rid of the skipping? Or is there substantial benefit in forking out for an external USB soundcard with multiply outputs and run the sound out through them?

ASIO is the better driver to use - and yes, the CDJ400's are the better soundcards to use as well. Have you tried adjusting the buffer length in the ASIO settings?

I also had the problem with the music skipping while in ASIO mode. How man frames shuld the buffer be extended to?

Lower = better. Simply find the lowest setting which allows you to perform without buffering / stuttering.

jonny i had the very same problem and have the same spec as you. i did a couple of things and the problem is sorted.
1) downloaded the newest driver for the poo sigmatel soundcard - (dated 13/6/2008)

i also disabled common sdk from start up for a roxio error too at the same time also now sorted. who knows maybe this helped with djs error as well. its worth a shot if soundcard update doesnt work by itself.

i removed ASIO because i got an error so i use directx
0 mp3s in djs because i cant import
djs version 1.6


so anyway djs loads up as normal and i can do most thing but if i try rip music or import music i get this error:

which is waht im doing

ive tried reinstalling it a few times and uninstalling kaspersky and still no dice.
ive tried loads of stuff and nothing helped.
