hi folks, have recently bought the pioneer mep7000. tried running my external drive on it and it didnt work. have now noticed that the drive is NTFS format.
does anyone no how to change it from NTFS to a FAT32 setup?

From what I understand, there's no free-and-easy way to convert a drive from one file format to the other. (I believe there are some software applications which may do this but they're not cheap and usually not worth it, especially with the cost of HDs being as low as they are.)

My suggestion... spend another $100 and get a second HD to duplicate the current contents of your NTFS drive to. You can either get a much larger drive and make that your HOME drive (in NTFS format) or get something similar in size, format it FAT32 and then copy all the data over to it.

sounds like the only way to do it mate and as the price of these things are that low it kinda makes sense. was just wanting to watch the cash as i have got the biggest wedding of the year to pay for and a honeymoon thats going to break my back
