Hey,

I am trying to connect my cdj400s to my mac to run either Virtual DJ or Serato.

I have done the firmware update for the CDjs and have the connect by the usb at the back of the cdj to the usb port of the mac. I have then put it into PC mode.

In Virtual DJ i have no control at all and in Serato it tells me that the Hardware in Disconnected. This copy of serato is the one from their website.

So what am i missing???

Cheers

Serato > You need to connect the Scratch Amp; the black box that comes with the software when purchased in-store. You can't run the software without it.

With Virtual DJ you need to configure the MIDI mapping; see my MIDI thread and download the info needed for VDJ.

You need to configure the soundcard properties to have deck 1 playing out of soundcard 1 and deck 2 out of soundcard 2.
