Hi I'm new at this forum. I'm interested of buying a MEP 7000 for a while already. I think it is a very nice piece. It is not easy to get it yet.I have some questions about this unit. I 'll start with one. I use the Numark D2 for a while now and it is nice to play with. There is also a funktion like a wave control, so when you are doing long mixing you can see where the breaks are in the track. I was wondering if the mep 7000 had this funktion too. I know it is on cdj 1000 from pioneer.

Can anyone please tell me some more about this?

Thanks,

Sorry, the MEP doesn't have a wave display function. You require the use of a computer with software capable of displaying the waveform in order to achieve that. I know it's a bit of a step back from the CMX-3000 (which had a rudimentary waveform display) but the only other option is really the CDJ1000 or DVJ series.

One great feature on the MEP is that it comes with DJS sw so you can use that with the MEP and have a waveform off your lappy..

Thanks for the information. It is a pity that Pioneer didn't put the wave display funktion on the unit. This will make you carry a laptop with you all the time. ( if you use this funktion)
Is it may be possible that they update the firmware and put the wave display funktion in it???

It is like earlier days when you played the records, you could see the grooves and know where to mix. Now I play with the Numark D2 which has the wave display and it makes my mixing easier. You can have a nice timing when mixing even if you don't know the songs. So I'm kind of hooked on the wave display. I would really love to see this option on the MEP. I hope pioneer would work on this, cause I think the MEP it is a great peace of art. To see the wave display would complete this unit for me.
