i had a play on one in a store last week. what did i think? well it seems there is a lot of work to do to sort out some of the bugs, when i can actually sit down and use it without a problem ill give a proper assesment. otherwise i stand by my initial comment "too expensive for what it is/does"

thats because the unit re encodes them as the proprietary SD format rather then mp3 boourns.
lame attempt to look like theyre not encouraging piracy actually ends up at the detriment of the end user. shoulda kept it CF/MMC in mp3. |

Actually, I've learned that it's not "encoding" or "decoding" the MP3, it just changes the file ever so slightly to make it "not an MP3".
Yes, I've had the same problem with having created perfect loops in Sound Forge, dumping them to MP3, then into the DJ Booth and finding that they were all 4-6 frames too long, even though the MP3s were fine. I'm currently emailing a technician in Japan who's helping me sort the problem out. Hopefully they can come up with a better solution than what I currently use... Toddy suggested this one to me: Create your "perfect loop" in Sound Forge (or any other wave editor), and then add 2 seconds of silence to either end. Convert the file to MP3 and import it to the DJ Booth. Open that song in the loop editor, and trim off the silence. I hate using that loop editor for making loops from actual songs, but it's okay if you already have your "perfect loop" plus silence. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

If you create a custom loop, you get 1 transfer. You can "Check-In" the track (from the SD back into the DJ Booth), which will allow you to use the track/loop again. Is that what you're talking about?

You should... go to the Transfer window, then click on a track which is currently on the SD, right-click and it should be there.
If not - UPGRADE! They've removed the last full version from the site, but the update should be there. If you need a full one, lemme know, I have it.Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

You can also DRAG the file from the SD section back to the HD section (check-in).

My bad ... didn't see the one between his left hand and mixer.
Shawn ... and clearly "triple 5's" means "5 CDJ1000's". ![]() Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |
