Hi,
I bought last week a Mep-7000,but it gives me problems.I use an external WD 250GB drive...but not every mp3 is working, but i cannot figure out why. Also takes it sometimes up to 30 seconds to load a mp3. Second problem : sometimes a played mp3 stops for a few seconds. Third : Some cd's will not load and when this occurs i see on the display that the Mep-7000 "thinks" its a cd-rom,but its a normal cd. Is my MEP-7000 just a bad one ? |

I'd check to see if the MP3s are okay - run this program:
http://www.gromkov.com/faq/repair/mp3_validator.html Check that you have a reasonable number of files in your folders. Figure that you want about the same number that are on a CD and don't stack them more than 8 levels deep. Both of these will play into the first two items. As for the CDs, are they burned CDs or commercial? Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Pulse,thank you for responding.
\I also use(d) a Denon 2500 and the mp3's work fine with that device. On my external Hard drive i use just folders for artist...not more. And the cd's are commercial...new one's ,old one's ..it happens too often. |

It could well be that you have a bad unit, but I'd still run the MP3 validator.
