My cue'd external ch 2 completely went down the other week i had to quickly switch to cd whilst i rebooted my laptop and set ups ie preferences etc.
i got through the night but ch 1 did jump a few times.

any help.

plus what do i do when i come to buy a new laptop. i'm not clued up on data base's etc so is there people out there you can pay to just set it all up for you. like i heard pc world at the minute do free data transfers when you buy there new laptops etc.

plus still need to know how to get your djs software/laptop to read your external hard drive free space. where as my old fasioned set up reads the laptop for data ie text. so my djs will say available space 28 gb but yet i have a 400 gb external hard drive. and when i import a lot of songs say 100 - 200 the available space will drop by say 100 mb etc so thats how i know the laptop is using storage space for text only ie the title artist album info.

hi pulse.

ive been using my djs now for live gigs for around 2 yrs now. with not many problems.

however on my last gig i was playing a tune on channel 1 on my numark usb mixer. using my external mixer function.

the tune jumped which i thought was weird as it has never happened before, then i notice the tune i had cued on ch 2 ready to come in had gone down. what i mean is i could still see it qued up on the laptop screen etc even all the counters were working but when i pressed play there was no sound. i had to quickly flick that channel over to phono line in instead of usb and bang a cd in my cd player. the cd gave me enough time to reboot djs and double check my preferences etc.

which seemed to work but i did have another tune jumpo later in the night but this time i got away with losing my sound feed.

all my cables were tip top it was just a case of rebooting up.

just thought you should know. on a fyi basis.

what djs update are we up to? i think i'm on number 3 or something.

and any advice on setting my whole syst6em up on another laptop? whats the best way to do it?

like say for eg my new laptop arrives monday morning and i have a gig on the sat and i want to use my new laptop on the sat gig. and i have approx 20000 tunes to upload etc.

also there's that problem that just wrecks my brain. how to get djs to read your external hard drive's available space so rather than it say 28 gb it says 328 gb free.
