I know that each of my CDJ-400 units has it's own internal soundcard that my computer can read when I plug both units into the USB ports on the computer.
Here is my problem..... I tried to set up my Virtual DJ program to use this soundcard in a dual card sound setup format. However, when playing the decks, I only get sound out of one. My guess is that though the soundcard options on the program show "two" listings for CDJ-400, it is reading both listings as the same card and cannot seem to separate the decks. Is there a way to either re-name or set up the CDJ-400 internal soundcard so the program can recognize them as separate units. or should I just use my M-Audio Delta 1010LT? You need to reconfigure Virtual DJ to output each deck separately instead of using the internal software mixer to combine the two decks' worth of audio into one master output.

I read a similar thread on here where someone had a similar issue. He mentioned that you have to download the drivers.
I will do that as well and try to configure the program |

Hey Pulse.
I downloaded the drivers and everything is working fine with the players, The internal soundcards are working perfectly. Now......(Don't you love it when you fix something and it creates a whole new problem) My mixer is no longer accepting midi signals.... Now I know the reason why...I changed the soundcard on the VDJ program from the MAudio Delta 1010LT to the CDJ-400 soundcards. The Mixer is plugged into the midi input on the M-Audio delta card. Now that I am not using that card, the midi on the breakout box is also disabled. Question: If I ran the midi from the mixer to a USB in the computer instead of the midi input on the M-Audio delta 1010LT, would the program then recognize the midi functions on the mixer? |

If you had MIDI > USB device (such as the M-Audio Uno), you could do without the Delta and it would work. But you could simply reconnect the Delta and use its MIDI...?

Yes its true.
But the option in the software (Virtual DJ) is only one or the other. If I set the soundcard to use the delta option, the Midi works on the mixer. If I set it to CDJ-400, I lose the Midi mixer signal. I can't use both since I need the CDJ drivers on BOTH decks, and there is no option for 3 I will pickup one of the M-Audio Uno units and see if that works. |
