CDJ 400 with TRACTOR PRO

I am very exited about those 2 great products but waiting some conclusions of owners of the 2 before laying big $$.

1. Is TRAKTOR PRO supporting the CDJs 400s natively ?

2. Is the midi mapping of only ONE CDJ 400 able to switch between the control of the 4 decks ?
(i remember reading on the forum that a person did this with traktor 3....)

3. What is the pitch accuracy of the 400s in traktor in midi mode

waiting some posts !

I've got a newly recreated map for the MEP7000 which I'm going to port over to the CDJ400. As I understand, it's not yet supported in Native Mode but the map I've got seems to work fairly well.

I'll have it posted within the next week.

Back to the DJS software for now. I found the pitch resolution crappy with traktor. Hopefully traktor will support the cdj-400's via HID like the DJS or Serato.

To answer the question on the switching, yes, you can set the eject button to cycle through the 4 decks. My updated maps (for Traktor 3.4) should address some of the mapping faux-pas of the previous MIDI setup.

CDJ 400 with TRAKTOR PRO?

Few hours ago I downloaded Traktor Pro demo and I try it with my CDJs its fine! a lot of things works fine! you can control effects, loop and everything but I have one BIG PROBLEM... traktor pro finds only my one player... so I can control only one deck Frowner the second one is not working traktor dont have midi signals from it... Few months ago I have the same problem when I try version 3.4 and than I red post about this problem on forum native instruments and few guys have the same problem like me... its some bug in win vista (I have vista 32bit Home Prem.) now I have traktor 3.2 and everything works great! but I need new tks file because I dont have some functions that I want so I waiting maybe Pulse help me with his new tks fileSmiler

The second problem on Traktor Pro is that you cant use yours TKS files. It look great, its great but like I sad I can control only one player Frowner

PULSE, the question goes to you first

I have read alot on forums that the midi of the cdj 400 in traktor 3 makes it not precise.

The midi precision is supposed to be better in the pro version ( 127 segments )

Since you say you tried it with the PRO version, whats your insight on this ( does the pitch and jog respond as on the cdj ex: 0.05 bpm. or 0.02 ) Are you able to mix smoothly ?

AND THE BIG QUESTION
WHY ARE THE DENON PLAYERS HID/NATIVE IN THE TRAKTOR REVOLUTION ( FULL FEEDBACK FROM THE PLAYER ) BUT THE LEADING HARDWARE COMPANY PIONEER AND HIS FUTURE ORIENTED PLAYER CDJ 400 NOT !??
I THINK ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE GONNA BE MAD, THEY TOOK A BIG RISK WITH THE 400 AND THE FUTURE
PLUS THE 2 COMPANY ARE GONNA MISS A BIG MARKET.

Tell me if i'm missing something

I'm not actually sure if I tried it with Pro or not, I can't recall which version I was using last week (I have it installed on both Mac and Windows on my laptop).

As for the native mode support, it all comes down to the software manufacturer dedicating their time and effort to implement support for that device out of their own operating budget. Pioneer doesn't really do anything on our end.

From what I understand, Native Instruments is working on supporting the 400 for their software, when, I don't know. Asking in their forums might provide a better answer.
