Hey guys,

I downloaded the trial version of DJS,
Installed it succesfull, restarted my pc,
but when I try to start the program,
there appears a window:

The PrestetGenre was not able to be acquired.

[ok]

the programm closed when I clicked the ok button

I googled a bit, but I can't find
pages in languages that I know

Does somebody know what I have to do now????

Hrm... It sounds to me like it had a problem with its database and associating the genres.

I would first suggest you try uninstalling it, once it's uninstalled, delete the Pioneer folder located at the following location:

c:\documents and settings\**yourusername**\Application Data\

Restart your computer and try reinstalling DJS.

You're not running Vista are you?

I see you're in a non-english version of XP, what language are you using?

I know it should work as I've seen it work on English and Japanese versions and I know the installer has a few other languages as well. Just a hunch tho.

I'm going to email the engineers and see if they can take a look because it's beyond me.

I'll let you know what they say.

Japan emailed back ... they asked if your computer has more than 256MB of RAM.

If so, you need to try uninstalling the software (via the installer) and using the "uninstall DB" feature.

Then you can reinstall the whole package and it should work.

No - when you run the installation file again, you are presented with 3 options - uninstall application, uninstall database, full uninstall.

I want to start DJing on a laptop. If I use the DJS software will I need to do anything else to ensure I have good sound coming out the speakers?

Hi, I have the same problem as mentioned above. I cannot run trial version to test this software.

I'll be very happy if this will solved.
