Hello, I m new here so HI EVERYONE! I have one problem, one week ago I buy my new dj equipments and I try to connect my new two CDJs 400 with DJS and use external mix DJM 800. so I download driver 1.003 from prodjnet.com/support my firmware is 1.20 so I dont need to update it. I instal drivers for CDJ 400 to my notebook and than I connect CDJs to my book by USB and start DJS software the next step was to set Player A and Player B but I cant do this! when I turn Select Push knob to the right or left NOTHING HAPPEND... I dont know what is wrong... and my second question is: when I want to use my maya44 usb soundcard how many cards I must have in DJS? 1, 2 or 3? I want to have it like this: CDJs connected to the PC and from pc output to maya44 and then output to the mixer djm 800.

Please help me, I dont know what is wrong...

What mode are you on? I mean for example are you in USB/PC Mode? That's my first question I ask you?

For the second question are you in ASIO/DirectX Mode? In your audio properties for that soundcard?

I m in USB PC mode and when I try to connect players with maya in DJS I cant click on ASIO I dont know why... I can have only DirectX/MCI...



EDIT/ situation changed: when I dont use my maya44 in DJS I have ASIO 2soundcards CDJ 400 so I click OK and then I can play one track on one deck and other track on second deck so its ok but I think my CDJ 400 works only like a soundcard not like a controller they only can play song but I cant do nothing with it... I cant control it in my CDJs... I try to do it with Virtual DJ I have one xml mapper from this site so I have mapped some functions but I have another problem in VDJ I can control track on my CDJs but problem is that both songs are in one player VDJ cant use my second CDJ so I have two signals in one deck. Do you know what I can do with it? and what about maya? I think that is some problem in it because when I use my maya in DJS it is only in DirectX/MCI NOT! in ASIO and when I use it with VDJ I have ERROR IN THE ASIO DRIVER, NOT ENOUGHT CHANNELS so I REAAAAAALY dont know what to do with this VDJ, DJS and Maya44

Do you have any other type of ASIO driver installed?

I mean for example do you have ASIO4All installed including your Maya sound card?

I would check to see if you are using an older version of the Maya ASIO driver installed?

I have the latest drivers for maya downloaded from audiotrak.net my driver version is v2 811 and also I instal asio4all I enable my maya4I but nothing happend. I think drivers are ok... the problem is when I connect maya to pc, my pc dont use it.... I have always output in my default soundcard in my notebook. I dont know how to config it in vista... I try control panel/hardware and sound but there is nothing and also device manager. i really dont know how to set maya like my output. but still this is smaler problem like my problems with DJS and VDJ... do you have some idea what is wrong in DJS or VDJ?

I don't know too much about the Maya card but I have a M-audio Delta 2496 Soundcard and I had Asio4all installed but I realized that I didn't need to use Asio4all instead my own Delta card drivers are already ASIO enabled by default. I wish I could assist further but you might want to get whoever made that Card to help, unless someone else has any other better ideas....

Just find out if the latest Maya drivers are already ASIO default. Also second question you did run it as Administrator right? meaning your windows login in Vista has admin rights. Alot of times these hardware/software will require having admin access.

What version of DJS are you running? I'm willing to bet it's not 1.6

I'd also bet that you don't have a proper ASIO driver installed for the Maya.

I have version 1.003 where I can get 1.6? on this site is only my 1.003 http://www.prodjnet.com/products/soft/djs/download_list_en.html... so I need another driver for maya? I find Virtual DJ version 5.2 now it supports CDJ 400 there is new mapper I connect it without maya and its fine everything works but there is one problem that when you push play both songs starts or for example when you turn jog to left both song are slower.... do you now how to repair this?

Why is it that people miss the "INTERNET" icon within the DJS software itself?! It has the ability to connect directly to the support site where you login and can download the latest version.

It sounds like you don't have the proper ASIO drivers for the Maya card under Vista otherwise the software would load it no problem.

As for VirtualDJ, you'll have to contact them for support with their software.

what do you mean proper asio drivers? I dont understand... I need some other driver for maya? I instal ASIO4all and enable maya so now I can listen music in windows media player but in winamp I have error creating directsound buffer (in winamp options I set output maya44 usb but nothing changed) also I have problem in traktor DJS and VDJ I cant play the song... only thing it works is windows media player and system voices .

Windows uses DirectX drivers, not ASIO. Did you install drivers from the manufacturer which are spec'd for Vista?

I have notebook Asus M51SE and I install the latest driver for soundcard from this site http://support.asus.com/download so I hope its ok... I dont have problem with my soundcard in my book I have only problem with maya...and with DJS :P

There's the problem - you need to download the drivers for the MAYA not for your internal soundcard.

of course I download drivers for maya...but once I disable my default soundcard in my book and I must reinstall driver for it.... but I have latest maya drivers from their website...

Okay let's go over this again...

- You have installed VISTA compatible ASIO drivers for the MAYA.
- You have downloaded and installed DJS 1.600.000.
- You have set DJS to EXTERNAL MIXER in the preferences.

What's not working?

everything works now ok! I can use my maya as well great! there was problem with DJS version now I have 1.6 Thanks Pulse...

also now it works too with traktor 3.2 (in version 3.4 is bug for vista)
