Tiesto @ Babyface, Shanghai in April. The photos are all from my phone sorry, but you can clearly see the CDJ/DJM setup. The VJ is using DVJ1000's, too bad he's wearing a FLORAL SHIRT! Couldn't get any better pics of the VJ setup, I got in trouble for sticking my phone over the booth.

Tiesto's set was alright; but unfortunatly his live mixers don't really match up to his production skills.

I have no idea how this guy is so popular. I've seen him a few times live and he was terrible. Almost as bad as Paul Oakenfold.

It's clear that he's popular because he uses Pioneer equipment

Because of his production work my friend. I'm a HUGE Tiesto: The Producer fan but not so much for Tiesto: The Dj.

If given the chance i would go see him DJ at the drop of a dime. Why? Because he's the guy that has produced a lot of my all time favourite songs. If you havent yet go buy his album "Just Be". Aside from Love Comes Again and Traffic which are good the rest of the album is just phenomenal.

Pop it in hit play and just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. I still listen to it to this day. From start to finish.

bro, hands-up-in-the-air bull$hit trance makes me want to shoot myself in the side of the head. But even if i did like that type of music, Tiesto is a terrible DJ technically.

He may not be any good live, but i'm with Spy in saying that his songs are amazing. No other DJ has produced so many anthems that are being played in the most popular clubs around the world, and have been since years ago.

Honestly i dont even know who he is as a DJ. Mainly cuz i dont spin that format or even listen to it like that any more. If i saw his name on a flyer unless the venue or theme was tight i wouldnt give it a second thought

Europe needs to move on to bigger and better types of music =)

Take Fabric in London, they've got the right idea.

what's the difference between
John Digweed (PH)and Paul Oakenfold (T)?
Danny Howells (PH) and DJ Tiesto (T)?
Sander Kleinenberg (PH) and Paul van Dyk (T)?
Steve Lawler (PH) and Armin van Burren (T)?

get it yet? Its basically good (PH) vs crap (T).

never liked trance. But this arguement is pretty stupid, since it's all about personal preference, and there is no right or wrong.

Having said what I said, I can say this. Not all Trance is puke. Just most of it.

There is some older stuff that I'll listen to once in a while.. But it's like anything else, I can only handle so much of it =)

For those of you that still love trance you can know that it won't be going away anytime soon, as it's still probably the most popular form of electronica music.

However, <puke> Trance </puke>
