Thoughts on the best mixer out there. Is it the 800, 700, 909, etc... I'm leaning toward the 800 and want to know about things like sound quality and durability vs. other mixers. I'm staying away from the 600 due to the sound quality issue. Are they reliable being all digital or are you better off with an analog mixer...

I have to agree that the 800 is the BEST mixer made (I have a 600&800) but a close second goes to Washington, USA company for the Rotary. I like other mixers for other reasons. Just as a Guitarist might use one model/manufacture for differant reasons the same is true for dj's and there gear.
Sometimes you don't need a million effects and midi control and yadda yadda yadda. You just want an accurate mixer without the BS. I notice the difference in sound quaility between the 6 and 8. It's so little that I still prefer my 600 at most gigs to cut down on the wear and tear on my 800. To me the 8 is perfection and I can't imagine what the next best Pioneer mixer will provide the creative minds around the music world. |
