Me thinks Pulse did a comaprison post about this. Seek and you may find! If not holla back, somebody probably already has the answer ready. Both units are the shizzle! Own a 600 have used one of my dj 3000. Would probably like the 600 better because of familiarity, sort of subjective i know.

Actually, I don't remember having done up a comparison or a chart or anything, but really, the differences are this:

3000:
- has fader starts on all 4 channels
- has fader effects mixing
- has 3 mic inputs
- is 19" (rackmount)
- has a digital output

600:
- has a sampler
- is a narrower format mixer

The main reason the 600 is more expensive is because of its Sampler.

Yeah, and they beam thought rays into our brains through this forum , and at night little pioliens visit our sleep and plant irrational desires for DJM600s into our minds .

You're getting sleepy very sleepy...

Woke up all sweaty and in a panic.. Only to see my BABY beside me. (Betweem my 2 , 1200,s Anyway). LoL.......... Ps is there any cure for this ?

Improve your DJing skills? A good DJ doesn't need FX at all...

I have a DJM-500 and a Tchn!cs SH-DJ1200 2-channel mixer, much like what you described. At times, I find myself just I loving the Techn!cs simplicity and design a bit more than the Pioneer. (It does have master/cue balance tho over the DJM but that's hardly a deal-breaker.)

LOL ...Obviously i,m not taking this Forum seriously enough.. My reasons for buying a 600 were,
1) I intend to Expand & update my set up.
2) I want to add a bit more CREATIVITY to my home mixes.
3)Straight mixing...Blending ....Cutting & Beat Dropping , Music for over 10 years can get a little boring at times.
4) I do see your point SPIN THIS... But how i see it IS ,if you just wanna do a straight flowing mix, DON,T Press the f.x button.

I wanted the 600 until I realized that as a Mobile DJ I would be better served by having multiple inputs and 3 Mics. The only option that I am missing is a plug in Light. The lack of a sampler is not an issue, but having 3 Mics. when at a Wedding is key. Anyway you slice it, having a PIO sets you apart and lets others know " that you are one bad a&% mother DJ "

Everybody has their own style
