Good evening people

I have always wanted some turntable and cdjs and this is the year I will make it happen however I have a few question and quires.

I am a newbie to djing and cdj’s, I have only messed around on my mates cjd400’s.

I have made the decision to go for two CDJ 900’s and a djm 800.

I was thinking of getting the DJM 700 but after seeing the DJM 800 in the flesh I literally fell in love with it.

I’m the kind of person that wants the best and something that is future proof.

I understand that the DJM 800 is now 4 years old and that at the moment it’s the best mixer made by pioneer. However it’s old and I have heard that this is a big year for pioneer as they announced that they are pulling out of the TV market to concentrate on the music side of things.

The all important question (which I know I wont get an answer to) is do I wait a while to see if Pioneer brings out a new mixer or go out and buy the DJM 800. And yes I know that they are always working on new tech and they could release one either in the next 4 years or even tomorrow but any indication would be nice if not I understand.

Anyways what I do want to know is what do people want from Pioneers next mixer?

Obviously we would want to amalgamate the 700 and the 800 features. In addition, I would like to see a tilted screen so it goes with the new cdj 900 and 2000’s. But is there anything else people would like to see?

am kind of in the same situation as you ready to buy a new set up, i see what your saying, i think the 800 looks good next to a couple of cdj 1000s but somehow doesn't fit with the 'new line up i suppose there is a few features from the 700 that would be useful, but a titled screen would be lovely

It is inevitable there'll be something new at some future date - thats business and evolution. At present, you work with what best fits your needs.

Nothing is futureproof - technology is always upgrading at a phenomenal rate - ever heard of Moore's Law?
