I don't know if this is allowed for reference here or not, but I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have Derrick May performing at my club this friday and he's pretty explicit about requiring a DJM-1000. I have an 800, but that isn't going to meet his expectations.

Does anyone - maybe via private email? - know of a place in the Southern Cali area where I can get a DJM-1000 for a night?

You know what would be ideal? Is to just have Pioneer sponsor the night on a go forward basis, but I know I'm asking too much at that point.

I would have suggested that myself but good luck in getting anything from Pioneer on such short notice.

Go and buy one, tell this guy to take care of it, and then return it back saying you didn't like it.
