Alright, So there's this company called DJ tech that build a copy of the DJM-400. The company created a video, stating how it wasn't a copy, here is the video:

Wow - I love how they say it's "nothing like" but it's a blatant rip-off.
The guy goes on about how the price is half that of the Pioneer MSRP but I expect the quality is as well. From their website: Signal-to-noise ratio: more than 82dB (Line) Pioneer's DJM400: Signal-to-noise ratio: 97dB (Line) Ouch. A 15dB difference. Hello 1995. I also noticed that their effects unit can't transfer effects (like the sample) from one channel to another like the DJM400 can. People will often imitate but never duplicate. The bottom line is if you want Pioneer, you will buy Pioneer. If you want to waste your money on a lesser (knockoff) product and wind up buying the Pioneer later anyhow, you'll think about this statement later and kick yourself. This message has been edited. No, this is worse than Behringer, they never made a video comparing their mixer to the DJM600.

I came across this, only because I was using a demo of Deckadance at a store, and the help menu/midi settings in Deckadance displayed a DJM 404, thought it was pioneer until i further investigated it.
If i see any more rip offs I'll post em up, on this thread. |
