Hi all,

I have recently bought the DJM-400 and now I've noticed a funny smell coming from it after turning it on for a little while. Maybe after 10-20 minutes...

Is this the normal "electronic smell"?

Thanks,
johnny

Not being there to sniff it, I can't say for sure. It could be the normal "new electronics warming up" smell or it could be the "something is shorting out and it's bad" smell.

Thanks for the quick response.

It does not get hot. I can smell the scent when it is off, but it is very faint.

Sniffing closely at my old mixer (Numark), I notice the scent as well.

But the scent is more apparent as the Pioneer warms up. Is this a concern I should take it back to the dealer?

Thanks,
johnny.

Keep it. If it bursts into flames, then you sue. Wink
