Hey all,
I recently moved to a new house and placed my setup in the basement. Sometimes when I'm playing, I get a tingling feeling when I touch my 800. I also get this when I touch my 1200's, but not on my CDJ-1000's (that I notice.) I'm sure there is a way to prevent this, but how? For clarification, here are more details: electric socket connected to an extension cord, connect the extension cord to a power strip, connect 800, 2x1200, 2x1000mk3 to the power strip. The table is a banquet table made of pressed wood/plywood with metal legs. The floor on which I am standing on and where the table sits is concrete. Any input is appreciated, as I would like to have a party soon and not kill myself or others. |

I put in the Konami Code awhile back, but I'm down to 14 lives now. I should probably be more careful! I'll go buy a ground tester and do an inspection. Hopefully this won't take too long! |

Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start!
Just try reversing the polarity of the mixer plug (first) see if that helps. If not, turn it back and try one of the CDJs, then the other (reversing of course if it doesn't change or makes it worse). Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

How do you reverse the polarity of the mixer plug when it has a ground on it?

Cut the ground off... no, just kidding. NEVER DO THAT.
If you have a grounding pin, it's in the right way. Try the other devices. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

I cut the ground off, and now I'm down to 13 lives
I checked my outlets and everything is fine, so I bought a new power strip and extension cord, and no more shocks. Strange, but it worked! |

Could have simply been a short within the old power strip. Glad you solved it!
