Does the master level any damage?

Hi!

 

Just as the title, I wonder if the levels of the level of the master level any damage if it goes over to the red indicators on any mixer? Namly, if you push the level so much that the ledindicators goes over from the green and yellow ones to the red does that mean bad or something?

Red is where you don't want to be, it's an indicator of CLIPPING and DISTORTION and that you could damage the gear by going into a THERMO level that might ultimately shut the mixer down.  The new DJM-900NXS2 has a CLIP light that comes on when it's overdriven and peaking.  Try to stay at 0db so it won't run into potential issues.
