DJM 250 as a preamp for a microphone

I'm attempting to use the DJM 250 as a preamp for my Babybottle Blue microphone... the ultimate goal is to rout the signal from the microphone through a PODxt guitar amp simulator, through my sound-card, and into my computer. I'm not entirely sure if this is a possibility; however, I've looked into routing the mic through the RCA auxiliary inputs with an XLR female to RCA split cable. There are no results so far - I'm only drawing a saw-type signal from the initial gain that is produced by the POD. If anyone has advice as to some means of routing the mic signal through the mixer, it would be greatly appreciated.
