DJM S9 Mixer Input DAW

Hi, currently I think something is wrong or need firmware update with the S9 Mixer. I tried on mine and friends.

Using a DAW/ Production software (ABLETON, BITWIG, STUDIO ONE, etc) and following the diagram of "MIXER INPUT" inside the Pioneer S9 utility, it shows that usb input 5/6 should go to the SAMPLER knob. Currently if I send to input 1/2 it goes to channel 1, input 3/4 goes to channel 2, input 7/8 goes to master all like it should BUT input 5/6 also goes to the master. I've been using it like is in the meantime with it going to the master but it's annoying not having any control over the volume of the audio coming from the DAW on the mixer. Anything we can do to get pass this glitch? Thanks!

i on the other hand i'm trying to record my mixes using the usb (5/6 MIX OUT).

my recording program recognizes the s9 LINE IN but there is no sound. it recognizes all other sound cards mics and line in's but no sound from the s9. everything on the s9 utility is set like it should but no sound. i've even tried changing the 5/6 to channel 1, 2 or fader but there is no sound.

there's currently no way to get sound from the s9 to the computer over USB for recording. shouldn't there be?

windows 7 64-bit, latest sdj version, latest s9 firmware, i7 quad core, samsung pro ssd. tried different usb cords,

Hi there.

I had a similar post and got a confirmation from Pioneer that the sampler volume knob does not attenuate the incoming signal. It goes straight to the master output (you can apply aux fx along the way).

I've tested usb outs 5/6 for mix recording via ableton and max/msp and they work ok for me. I also made a simple max patch which forwards the signal to Soundflower so I can choose my s9 mix as an input device when broadcasting scratch sessions on tinychat.

Are you still having this issue?

Peace.
