CDJ2000NXS2 Firmware Update / Beat Jump Values

Hey Pioneer...

do you actually have DJs helping you design the functionality of the CDJs or is it just a tribe of monkeys with bananas and tree branches working there?

you make beat jump for the CDJ2000NXS2 ... but only give a beatjump value of 1 --- LOL.  the dumbest thing ive seen in my life.

then you finally fix the error and add larger values ... and only add an 8? and then you make it only functional if we add a $300 pioneer SP1 midi controller?

in case no one has told you guys yet... most dance music is built on 16, 32 or 64 beat phrases.

You already have the functionality written into the code of rekordboxdj... this isn't brain surgery.   Jesus.

I updated my firmware and I can't even figure out how to increase the beat jump value from 1 to 8 with the DDJ-SP1 , they didn't give any clear instructions..

They need to just make a DJM-R9 or some kinda Rekordbox Mixer, that allows the players to communicate with the mixer, since all of the SP1 functions are on the S9..

The updates are definitely rolling out way too slow, and the changes are not big enough, they definitely need to work harder, and preferably with a team of DJs that know what we as consumers are looking for, I'd give anything to sit down with these goons in a conference room and give them my 2 cents.

yeah +1 on the above. Seems like Pioneer think they can just chill and release minor updates or so once in a blue moon cause they are the market leaders... I play on nothing else but Pioneer but the lack of competition has made Pioneer so lazy. I hope Denon is gonna shake things up at Pioneer!

I'm pretty sure the 8 beat jump is only possible when using the DDJ-SP1. Try and wrap your head around that one. Feels like a slap in the face to me.

I think it's pathetic how you have to use/buy a DDJ-SP1 in order to use a feature made for the CDJ 2000NXS2.
We can already use 1-beat jump without any other hardware so why not 8-beats?
Seriously? What a joke!

Beat jump values should be user selectable via the touchscreen and available to use from the CDJ and not have to rely on any external device.

What a load of rubbish.

Pioneer plays monopoly with consumers it seems like they ran out of ideas and are waiting for competitors to release products to copy and improve to stay in the game

funny because the XDJ1000 had more than just the 1 beat beat jump.  I sold my pair of xdj1000s in Oct 2016 but recall at least 3 different beat lenghts + and - forward reverse.

XDJ1000 came out almost a year before the cdj2000nxs2.  Now there is the XDJ1000MK2!
