I've just ordered my DDJ-RZ and wanted to know if Rekordbox DJ works better on a PC or Mac? I'm not asking if Mac or PC's are better, but which OS does Rekordbox DJ work better on or the same for both. I have a Mac Mini and a PC Laptop so could go either way, although I prefer laptop.

The software is virtually identical in performance and operation on both platforms. It comes down to what your needs are in terms of a computer. If you get paid to DJ, then it will be worth the money to invest in a high performance computer.

I have a Macbook Pro 2012 2.5 i5 (16 ram and ssd), and a Lenovo Tiny desktop 2.9 i5 (8gb ram and sshd). Rekordbox Dj is running smooth on both.
Would recommend 8 gb ram and minimum i5 processor though.
I just switched to macbook because of the lowest latency (but i have to say that i get a good used mac at low price).
In the audio section, the buffer, you could go lower with mac. It's only a few ms, buts its a fact.
If money doesn't matter buy mac, if it matters buy PC Laptop, thats nearly good enough. Rekordbox in use is on both quiet equal
