XDJ R1 - Queries and Suggestions

Bought an R1 over the weekend and I love it. Previously came from Traktor and an X1 and so it's a great improvement, however I have a few queries and would really appreciate some advice.

1. One of the main reasons for buying was integration with the iPad and Remotebox. However it feels a little limited. Question: is it possible to run Remotebox and Recordbox at the same time? Reason I ask is I would like to be able to add a Rating, for example, when I find a new track. I can't do that in Remotebox.

2. Can you confirm how many tracks I can have in a playlist? I read it was 10,000 but is it 1,000? Tried to update my flash drive yesterday and it failed.

3. I read a lot of comments about how great Remotebox is but it hasn't seen much love of date. I wonder what it would take to make some improvements. Could we crowdfund some resources to make this happen, or could the software be passed on to a fan to work from? It does seem a shame that a unit that costs nearly £800 has some limitations that Pioneer don't seem to be in much of a hurry to address. How could we help?
