These statements apply to all Pioneer DJ products, hardware and software -- We can't, and won't, discuss products that aren't released, whether there are products on the horizon or purely in speculation. Even if a new product were to be announced tomorrow, it wouldn't be available at retail for a few months. Unlike other manufacturers who have regular release intervals (eg. Apple), our products don't follow a schedule, but you can find a general pattern in some products based on the historical release dates. Pioneer DJ is ALWYAS working on "the next thing" across our wide product range, but the "when" is something we never leak!
The right time to buy anything is when you need it.
If you need an XDJ now, but it. If you can wait, then wait.
If you need one and buy it, but then if a new one was announced and you had buyer's remorse, you weren't ready to buy it.
So unfortunately that's not much of an answer, but hopefully it provides you a bit more insight.
