Hi, so one of my CDJ 2000 nexus started making the daunting sounds when you adjust the jog wheel, I know it was the plastic wheels inside the jog wheels it seemed as if the jod adjust was on heavy. So I took it apart via a video online and was extremely cautious about it took me about 10 minutes. I took the jog wheel out cleaned it with some isopropyl alcohol got it nice and clean (a lot of build of up from fog machines and use over the past year or so of owning it). I made sure that the IDE cable that connects the jog wheel and the rest of the CDJ was connected properly, was locked and snug so no problems there. well when I put it all back together everything turned on properly and seemed to work until I tried to make adjustments with the jog wheel on the track (EX: adjust the track to a certain point). I just got a stutter effect and I couldn't move the track forward or backward it just skipped around a lot and went forward in fast motion.
I have tried to reinstall the firmware.. again. I have not damaged anything and was extremely cautious about what I was doing.

it ended up being the Photo Interrupter
for JOG rotation detection DWX3349 was off a little and wasnt reading the sensor ring. now to figure out why forward is backwards and backward is forward..
