DVS inputs on DJM 450

Hello,

I have bought since a few months a DJM450 to replace my DJM T1, less buttons and midi but hardware fx that put less load on the cpu.

I've tried to use it with Traktor Scratch / Mixvibes Cross / VirtualDJ / Mixx and I cannot use the inputs to send timecode to any software.
Also bought the Serato DJ Club Kit and the DJM 450 isn't included (but the DJM 850/900/900NXS are) : still no timecode for me.

I have understood that it was a limitation and that the DVS input are locked to Rekordbox.

Someone on a board suggested that if I install Rekordbox licence that it will unlock the inputs : it doesn't !

The only solution to use timecode with this mixer is to use it with Rekordbox.
This hasn't been mentioned anywhere in all the PRs, all the videos, the reviews around the internet, this is a major failure into the communication that mislead people into their choice.

In short :
- when will the DJM 450 be added to the Serato DJ club kit ?
- when will the dvs inputs be unlocked to other softwares ?

I'm a bit disappointed to have paid so much for that small mixer (love it in fact) but being limited to only one software on the timecode side.

It's not officially supported, that's why it's "locked."

I have finally manage to found a workaround :

- launch Rekordbox in Performance mode (to unlock the dvs inputs)
- Go to Preferences/DVS and  uncheck Enable DVS Function (to release them from RKB)
- Now launch and configure your application

Success !!!
You can now use your DJM 450 with other software than Rekordbox.

Thank you so so much. I have been chasing pioneer and VDJ and had no answers other then VDJ sending the "how to" documents for the 850. (which didnt work).

I hate that i have to open rekord box each time i want to use VDJ, and i didnt want to use VDJ 8 as i like 7,4 (I had a licence for both so not the end of the world) but hell, my 600 quid mixer is now going to be used the way i purchased it for :)

thanks again mate
