I recently noticed that my kingston datatraveler 64 GB usb stick wasn't red by the cdj 900 nx althought it's formated in FAT 32.
I read a lot in several forums about this issue, but nothing seems to fix it up.
My question is simple and aimed to pioneer crew :
I want to be sure , when I play in a club, to come and to have my usb stick recognized at 100 %. on cdj 900 nx or cdj 2000 nx. (I work only with folders and my tracks are mp3. I don't use rekordbox).
Is it posible to have a list of usb sticks which works all the time ?

If you search the Forums there are speed tests that have been done and rank USB sticks, they were also used in CDJs so they would work. Have to ask, why wouldn't you want to use rekordbox and have all the potential of the CDJs usable??

I must admit that I've searched for a long time without finding that ranking.
Anyway I'm not really interested in usb stick speed but I want to find reliable usb stick for CDJ, I mean a usb stick that is shurely red by all CDj's.
Concerning rekordbox, that's true that I don't use all his potentiel, because I don't need to. I only use the DVS tool of rekordbox to play my tracks with control vinyl.
As a DJ it's important to adapt to any configuration, when I know there are 2 CDJ's (900 or 2000), I appreciate to come only with 2 usb sticks (and my headphone).

I have maybe a hundred laying around right about now. Several broken. The ones that works. Well are among the top four brands i mentioned!
What many people need to understand is redundancy!!!
Bring usb, sd and cds. If something breaks down you are all good
And in many cases the only thing that really works are often the brand new cd players in the cdjs ;)
Usb and sd ports may be broken, but the cd drives work flawlessly as most djs dont use cds!
