My equipment is xdj 700+djm350 + Mac book Pro.
I would like to record some sets but I’m wondering what is the best way to do this. On my mixer, I can put usb and press “record”,(let’s have a look on photo) and it looks like is the easiest way, but it’s quite confusing because when I’m using “trim” the sound level of my set is changing too. I have no idea how the trim should be set to get best sound quality and level sound also. Maybe the better idea will be to record set through Mac and some software, maybe rekordbox?

The mixer USB is the easiest, the levels will adjust based on th channels, but not sure without trial and error what the settings would be. The tracks and levels would be a determinent as well. Using rekordbox or Audacity would also work just try each one as they are all free and go from there.
If I would like I use audicity for example, how should I connect this? Is the aux cable, one site is going through jack into Mac and another site. Red and black (or white) into master in the mixer?
