FolgenDJM-900NXS2 Not Connected As Audio Device in Traktor Scratch
Hi
I have recently bought a DJM-900NXS2 and am trying to use 2x PLX-1000s and Traktor Scratch Pro 2 with it.
I have updated the DJM firmware (2.03) and Traktor (2.11.131) to the latest versions. I am running Mac OS High Sierra.
I tried to install the DJM Mac driver for Yosemite but kept getting the message "this driver cannot be used for your computer because it is OS X v10.11 or later". Instead I have managed to install the DJM Mac driver for El Capitan or later.
I then set up the DJM Setting Utility as per the settings contained in the 'Pioneer DJ Mixer - Traktor Scratch Pro 2 Connection Guide'. In the setting utility the mixer is showing as connected. I am running the PLX-1000s into channels 1 and 4 on the DJM - both channels are set to USB A on the mixer.
I then go into Traktor and run the start wizard as stipulated in the connection guide, following the settings as recommended. However when trying to select the DJM as the Audio Device in the Audio Setup section, the DJM is shown as 'DJM-900NXS2 (not connected)'.
This is where I cannot complete the setup. Traktor is showing 'please connect and select an audio device'. The DJM isn't showing under any decks in the Traktor Output Routing section either.
Please help!

Hi - yes I managed to sort it out, basically by trial and error as Pioneer and NI couldn't seem to figure it out!
Basically after the Mac High Sierra update the security settings have been increased, which is blocking the mixer from working with the Macbook. For me it wasn't a Pioneer hardware or NI software issue.
The fix was simple, go into system preferences on your Mac and access the 'Security and Privacy' section. In there that was a notice saying that the mixer was trying to communicate with Mac, and a button saying 'Allow'. Just clicked that and that sorted everything. The mixer immediately worked and everything was perfect.
So strange that Pioneer or NI aren't aware of this. I know Pioneer make reference to this in the driver installation guide, but I managed to install the driver without issue which is why I didn't think to check this as a fix.
Hope this works for you too!
Chandler Paulis did you solve this problem? I don't have the option to allow in my system settings. Please let me know if you found an alternative fix
