DDJ-RZ won't connect to macbook pro 2016

I have followed all the steps on the video below. The USB is picking up the hardware fine and I have loaded all the most recent firmware onto the unit and software onto the laptop (twice including an uninstall)... I cant think of what to try next. Is there a way to factory reset and start again???
