sound only outputting through one channel

sound output only through channel 2. center level indicators say channel 1 is producing audio, but master level indicator doesn't light up when only channel 1 is playing. cross fader switch is set to thru, and there's no trimming via knobs. also, on-air indicators don't flash on deck 1
