Rekordbox ios ver 4

I have a 7th gen Ipad running OS 16.4 and a DDJ-FLX4 running firmware 1.03 and the Rekordbox IOS ver 4

I have connected the FLX4 to my windows laptop and everything works fine. When I connect the Master audio out to my powered speakers and connect my Ipad to the USB 'device connection port' and a mains power cable to the 'USB power port', the 'In, Out' loops buttons flash and that's all. The only way I can connect is by Bluetooth and then connect my audio from the headphone jack to my speakers

When I plug my power cable into the 'device connection port' all the lights come on but I can still only connect using Bluetooth and the audio still comes directly from the Ipad.

The Youtube videos I have seen, all seem to work properly with the connection I originally used and that the manual recommends.

Can anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks
