DDJ-XP2 Slicer mode parameter buttons no longer functional

According to the website at https://www.pioneerdj.com/-/media/pioneerdj/software-info/controller/ddj-xp2/ddj-xp2_hardwarediagram_seratodjpro_e1.pdf the parameter buttons should adjust the quantize size, and with shift adjust the domain size. Neither of these happens (they used to, I'm not sure when it changed). Instead with shift they do nothing, and on their own they switch between slicer and slider loop mode.

Does anyone know how to get the original behaviour back?
