DDJ FLX4 Android USB issue connecting/disconnecting endlessly

Hello everyone, this is a new issue as far as I can tell. So when I connect the FLX4 to my Samsung s22fe I am getting a notification stating usb connected and then immediately I get a USB disconnected notification. These two notifications cycle back and forth endlessly even long after I have removed the USB cable. 

That's the situation. Now here's the oddity I had been using the FLX4 and my phone just moments before and it was working great and it had been working great for weeks. So I tested the flx4 connected to my pc and it works great there too. 

This has me thinking that it must be related to my phone sadly. I am posting here in hopes that someone else has had the problem and can chime in. This phone is relatively new so I may just try a factory reset to see if it helps the situation. My USB is working great otherwise for both the FLX4 and my phone. But the two just don't seem to want to mix. When I plug them up together I don't even get a light on any of the buttons on the FLX4 either. 

So tonight I am going to try to sync it up using Bluetooth to see if I can make it happen that way. I'd prefer to use USB to take advantage of the built-in sound card and reduced latency but it may not be possible.
