Hi guys,
I have just been given an SVM-1000 mixer to play with on a trial with the potential of buying it.
Now, while I dont own a set of DVJ-1000 players (yet) I am planning on that being my next aquisition.
My question is - in the mean-time I want to run videos from my Windows laptop into the mixer so I can use the mixers built-in effects etc.
Can this be done? And if so please can you tell me how to connect it up?
I only have VGA out on my laptop but I do have a KWorld - PCtoTV upscaler.
Please be gentle and explain as thoroughly as possible as I am dense!!

I've not had the opportunity to play on either the SVM or DVJ before - however, if memory serves me correctly, I believe the audio and video channels can be separated so you could play the audio in through CDJs if you had them and play the visuals through the Video component input.

Gavin is correct -- you can split the audio/video, but any source must be in composite or S-video format for the mixer.
