[CLOSED] In response to Ryan0751: [SOLVED] DJM-800/900/2000 Master Cue

In response to Ryan0751'a post (it was 'solved' before I got a chance to complete a thought), Pulse is obviously right on with the cue being post-master by design but, respectfully, I'm not sure if the response helps you with your issue.  What you might not have realized is that the channel cues are also post-trim - so long as your levels are equal across all channels including the master, the cue mixer at 12 o'clock should split the signals right in half for you.  I presume from your description you're accustomed to running each independent channel at 0db, forcing you to keep the master relatively lower when you don't have access to gains on the club's amps (very typical situation).  I solve this by turning down the trim on the channels which allows me to up the gain on the master without changing the overall output to the club's system - try it out and you'll see this keeps your monitoring in tact (an ancillary bonus is you won't have the house audio guys grilling you all night about staying out of the red!).  I always monitor with custom in-ears so have run into the same issue many times.  And like Pulse mentioned, the benefit to this is now not only do you have the benefit of monitoring your levels visually, you can do it audibly without ever having to lift your cans.  Sorry for not being able to get to your original post before it was closed - hopefully this gets to you somehow.  Maybe one of the mods will find it in their heart to move this into the original thread so you don't miss it.  Happy mixing.
