I just experienced the same thing. Sounded almost like an internal fan making contact with something. Will investigate and report what I find.
Hey guys,
So I was setting up for a gig tonight and turned on my mixer and after it started up it started making this horrible mechanical clicking noise repeatedly. This noise not only came directly from the mixer itself but also made the same noise on the speakers that I was hooked up to even with all of my gains down. As the title says I am using a DJM 900 Nexus mixer with the CDJ 900s.
Is there anything I can do to try to fix this? I tried looking up similar problems online but could not find anything... Please I just spent 700 bucks repairing a faulty cpu in one of my CDJs and now this? I know Pioneer is a good brand with durable products but my stuff keeps breaking left and right :(
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

@Luc > Thats most unusual. I would encourage you to contact tech support using the links on the right >>
sounds like a chattering relay. theres like two or three that pull in when you turn the 900 on if you have a shorted coil it will keep bouncing.
what did it end up being?
I'm having the same problem. Solutions?
When I unplug cables from the XLR main outputs, the clicking stops. Record out and Monitor out still work well.
Sounds like a hardware problem. Please contact your nearest authorized repair center.
