DJM Line Output

Hi,

Sorry now if this seems like a very stupid question but I was asked to play in a bar to play background music in the evenings, nothing too severe. The bar itself has it's own sound system which during the day has an iPod playing using a standard 1/8 inch jack to rca cable.

Would I be right in saying that the iPod has line output so would I be safe by using standard rca to rca cable from my master 2 output to the sound system? I'm assuming I am but I'd like to know for definite beforehand just in case I end up blowing systems and whatnot!

Again apologies for such a standard question but any help would be great.

Cheers

yeah the DJM's  RCA outputs can be connected to wherever the iPod was plugged into (as long as it's an RCA at the "bar" end) what you should do is start with the master level low... then slowly increase the master level to find the exact limit where the audio distorts on the bar's system- match that with the meters on the mixer (+3dB usually safe) and try not to go over that during the night.

Good luck!

That's great man, just needed a bit of clarity! Will test it out anyway!

Cheers
