DJM 2000 Nexus Durability/Life Expectancy

I am looking at buying a used DJM 2000 Nexus and have found one on Amazon for fairly cheap. However, the mixer has endured 2 years of use, it shows some scuffs and scratches (nothing major). I am fearful of buying a mixer with this much use because I'm not sure how long after buying it will last. I'm looking to get at least 2 years of use out of any mixer I buy. I would rather not waste my money on a mixer that is going to start having issues after buying it. My question is, how long can I expect a used DJM 2000 to last?

Yes, most Pioneer gear from 5-10 years ago is still in use today.  The DJM-2000 is a tank of a mixer and should last a very long time.  NOW, that said, not knowing the treatment of the gear and what it has been through becomes the variable that I can't speak to or guarantee.

I used a pair of CDJ-1000 MK2 and a DJM-600K from 2004 through 2010 for every gig I did, no issues no problems and all gigs were as a mobile DJ.  I would say research the gear and it's use if possible, but I am very confident in this being a great choice of gear........

Awesome, that's good to know. Its definitely a risk to buy a mixer that isn't in prime condition still, but I would be saving like $700 which could make the risk worth taking.
