What volume level should the master volume and track trims be set at on the DJM 2000 nexus?
What volume level should the master volume and track trims be set at on the DJM 2000 nexus. I watch various sets with Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and other professional DJs mix at what seems like very high volume levels. Ie. where everything is almost Redlining, (one marker before Red Line) on both the master and the Tracks. Then i watch other videos with the same dudes where everything is in the green for both.... So what is right when performing live / recording with the DJM 2000 Nexus. I've looked it up a ton and there is not a clear answer on this anywhere.
I am usually having 4 tracks playing simultaneously just like these djs. Only usually one bass per 4 tracks in the mix or a slight combination of 2 basses from 2 tracks in the mix. All my mixes sound great, but I just wanna know what Pioneer states the levels and trims should be at for this mixer. I wanna make sure I am getting the best possible levels for live and recording with this mixer.
I am using Spdif out from the DJM 2000 nexus. Do these output levels vary if i use usb or the xlr outs depending on the output level i set inside the mixer? (ie - 5 or -10 DB )
