Hello, please could somebody give some pointers?
I have decided to record into a digital recorder from the digital out on the back of my dam 2000. The problem is the digital cable s/pdif doesn't seem to want to fit into the digital out. i have tried with and without compactor adaptors but it seams only to pop in a mil or 2 and doesn't feel its housed proper. is this normal?
secondly are there any settings within the mixer/ tractor i need to re arrange to record onto my maudio micro track?

The connector for S/PDIF is a standard phono (RCA) type connection but the cable itself is 75ohm. Are you sure you're using the right cable? Can you maybe take a photo?
As for recording levels, check this video around the 1:20 mark for adjusting the digital output levels.
