should be fine "IF" you are connecting the cd's to your laptop via USB to midi control them, all sound goes through the 900 from serato the the audio coming from the CDJ's would not have to be hooked up to anything unless you wanted to play off a usb drive or cd, then in that case the digitalis would be fine

Folgen[SOLVED] DJM900 SRT - Will it work with Serato if CDJs are in Digital input
Hi All, Just wondering if a DJM900 SRT would still work ok with serato DJ if the CDJS are connected to the mixer via the Digital (orange) connection as opposed to the phono red/white. I ask as the decks in question have a problem with the phono outputs so the only option is to connect via digital. Will this effect use with Serato?
Thanks

No I would be using the cdjs to play timecode rather than using them as midi. What I'm wondering is will the 900 srt mixer still receive the timecode sound if the cdjs are connected via digital instead of phono
i would say no then, i "think" serato would pickup the audio for control over the regular RCA's, not the digital.
Why not run the usb's for midi control? doesn't it work better that way for hot cues, loops, etc...? I used to run that years ago until i went strictly Rekordbox and dumped serato
Because the cdjs I'm using are not compatible for midi control with sets to and I also don't have enough usb slots and don't have a hub. Just hoping someone can clarify for definite! Thanks
ahhh gotcha, for digital I immediately thing CDJ-2000. sorry
Lol I was guilty of the same thing Brichi. I thought he was talking about the CDJ-2000. I too dumped serato and went straight up Rekordbox.
It will work just fine with digital vs. analog. It's still the same signal, just without noise.
