HDJ 500 joint broken

After 1.5 months ownership, the joint between the panel that has the pioneer logo and the rest of the headphone, on the 'P' side, has broken, meaning they have become pretty much unusable, as I don't want to make it worse. Any idea what I could do, have emailed the support
